Dear Davenport Customer,
Last week my wife and I attended a brunch with members of our Sunday School Class and enjoyed hearing a young pianist who included a classical selection followed by traditional Christmas carols. He read “I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day”. The message made me pause to think about those who may have encountered stress, pain and seem to have lost peace. Allow me, please, to share these comforting words with you;
I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men.
I thought how, as the day had come
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled a long the unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
And in despair I bowed my head:
“There is no peace on earth”, I said
“For hate is strong, and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.”
Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
“God is not dead, nor doth He sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
With peace on earth, good will to men”
Till ringing, singing on its way,
The world revolved from night to day
A voice, a chime, a chant sublime,
Of peace on earth, good will to men!
Over the years some of you have shared your pain and loses with me and I feel honored. I trust these verses will help all of us remember that “God is not dead nor doth he sleep”. He is ever present . He is our strength. He is our source of peace He is our peace!.
We who service and repair your Lexus/Toyota wish for you a peaceful and prosperous New Year.
